- As mialcsem find robots and organics to be on equal footing, rather than lesser simply because robots are artificially created, any planets that they rule tend to have helixians, zuid’tians and all manner of other AIs thronging among them.

- Their entire culture revolves around change. Subsequently, most mialcsem tend to either adapt to sudden and extreme upheavals to their life well, or at least be open enough to accept it.

- Mialcsem architecture and museums have the go-to standard for classical, good art. As they were incapable of carrying out wars without extreme difficulty, the majority of time where any other species would have been constructing weapons was instead spent refining and expanding their creativity, aesthetics, and other such social and cultural ventures.

- Kuppas are very good, as a whole, at making mialcsem uncomfortable. As mialcsem reproduce via blood, the concept of drinking or fighting specifically with it is a few steps beyond uncanny, even knowing that other species have different societies and biology than they do.

Before mialcsem were integrated into the entirety of the universe, many followed a deity known as Yhenang. This god was said to be made of the same substance as them, but somehow even better refined; fully fluid save for their hard, plated tail, they were capable of changing their shape into anything and anyone they wished. Unlike the mialcsem and their singular opportunity of change, Yhenang needed no helming nor specific day, shifting without limitation, entirely at will.

The stories told of their deity hiding amongst them, a god among the mortals. Posing as anything from an injured wild beast to a box on the side of the road, tales always speak of how the mialcsem that treated strangers kindly were rewarded and those that treated them cruelly simply for appearance were punished.

Subsequently, when the notails came knocking on their doors and toting the Limbo Gods as their own religion, it was something of a cultural clash and shock to have deities that were said to loathe you pushed upon them. It was generally agreed that only the ‘face’ of the mialcsem, its political leaders, needed to make to make the sacrifice and at least put on a show of assimilating into this system; the rest of the populace would be allowed to continue believing in their Yhenang.

The fact that their government has genuinely taken on the Limbo Gods as their deities seems to keep the notails content, at least.

Trivia:
Oblein Family meetings are enourmous because of their starfishlike reproduction, and all the versions of the same person around that are around don't make them any simpler. Some of the roulations the Oblein use have inspired incredible innovations in management.

A lot of Oblein art is very fancy ink pictures and texts. It's theorized that this fascination with ink stems from an ancestor that had ink sacs like other primitive celophods do. More impressive than their inkings is the fact that they manage to create and preserve them deep underwater.

The first Oblein ambassador to visit Oclair kept offering food to the Oomn officials around them up to the point where the officials developed health problems from overeating, which was thouroughly disturbing for the other diplomats to watch. Lonely Oblein will sometimes take an Oomn as a pen-pal and send them fish pastries as well as messages.

I had trouble thinking of a red trait so I submitted the [intrusive] trait to try and match the Oblein's habits that got described in the cosmodex.

Ancient Fairies rode into battle on the backs of Notails. No, really. They had cute little spears and everything.

Fairies are actually the exiting parts of the Pagepoh that left their bodies when they realized they were super dull. This is why the Pagepoh can't fly.

The first fairy that got caught in a bottle was drunk. Fairies have eventually learned to order their drinks in cans.

The Kouninis share the Fairies' affection for pranks. The fairies like that they can 'take a joke' and prank them more often. The reverse happens too. It's all in good fun.

Ok I'm still putting in entries but I should get these last three done, then if the jerace are still there I'll snag them and finish them.

The final count down!
- Notails now have a very large entry.
- Baphometti have a placeholder entry just so I don't have to move other species later. Nothing about it is done and it doesn't need to be done for a while.
- Jerces are now finished.
- The species section is now done - the text for it.


So that's it! All entries are now done (- Baphometti and Extrals which will be done later) I can finally get set up for the live update and raffle! I'll come back with news in a few days, once I review my work load, for info on when the raffle + live update will be done, + the prize list!

If I don't somehow fit the raffle + live update in these last few days of the month, it will have to be done after the 10th of aug as I have graduation and then being pulled places by my parent. After that I'll just be on the hunt and should have downtime between that for the stream!

Fellow, because you had the most entries done you can tell me what you would like to be done. You can pick between 1 animated fortuna style small sprite, 1 fortuna style big talk sprite, or you can pick 3 species and get art for them done, thus replacing their placeholder ? image.

Coraeites have an affinity for navigational equipment, and therefore may never leave the navigator's chair (however cruel it may seem), but, in the unlikely event that they DO escape the vicinity of the ship they're crew for, they may be found working as bartenders, accountants, shopkeepers, anyone whom has to patiently listen to someone else talk, while being the one person who's always on their side, no matter what. Coraeites may be inept when it comes to The emotions of other species, but they are always good listeners, and can usually pick up on what words of encouragement would work the best.

Being the massive dorks they are, Coraeites rarely call it a day until at least one PRANK has been pulled. The rest of the time will be filled with usually-insufferable puns. (I created this species before Undertale and Sans existed I SWEAR) Once you manage to dig past the horrible puns, their dorkiness levels just keep rising, as they're also usually techies as well. Discussing Space Star Trek or Space Star Wars around them will NOT go unnoticed, and you may die of sanity loss when they begin excitedly explaining their favorite parts of the movies and shows.

Believe it or not, this (totally not) Gary sue of a species does have some distastes. For one, calling out and insulting their unbearable puns really hits them where it hurts, along with unfavorably reacting to pranks. They get really protective over their likes, whatever those may be. They also dislike emotionally tense situations, because, as it turns out, not all problems can be solved via puns and pranks. Their main coping mechanism is laughing things off.

While usually trying to avoid fatal conflicts, Coraeites will usually try to flee conflicts without another thought, usually at the expense of their crewmembers. If fleeing is not an option, however, they will attempt to rely on sharp claws and/or mid-ranged weaponry to defend themselves.

Similar to most species, Coraeites' heights differ from individual to individual, but they will usually be around 3-5 feet tall, not much more variance.

Before Coraeites had FTL travel, they were bound to their star cluster. Once FTL travel and the god-based ship system was essentially forced upon them, they pretty much stopped manufacturing ships.

NEW/OLD
Physical Description-
Coraeites are commonly described as a cross between a spider and a no-tail (for lack of a more /generic/ humanoid thing), but are more comparable to centaurs than anything. They have a spider's lower body, while having a spider-like, upright upper body.
They have four sets of limbs, three for walking and one for interacting. They also have multiple sets of eyes. One complex set, and four simple eyes, placed in a half-right around each complex eye. "Ö" used as an emoji eye is very relatable to them.

Personality & Traits:
Coraeites may seem like little rascals, deserving of some form of respect, they are actually huge dorks. As in, if someone cracks a joke in their presence, they'll make it their sworn duty to hammer the offender with at least one pun of the same topic and caliber. That is, if they're not in the mood to pull a prank. These jokesters have a keen eye for the humorously adept, and will seek out to make anyone laugh, grin, chuckle, or moan.

To be honest, however, their punny attitude is merely a coping mechanism, as Coraeites, like some exotic species, simply can't understand or feel most negative emotions. They'll be the giggle at a funeral, if only to escape the dread and sadness, and to help others escape it too. You could consider it their unconscious duty to cleanse the universe of sorrow, guilt, and dread.

History:
Coraeites have struggled through little, and have been quick to establish peace before war, going to off lengths to avoid unnecessary loss and stress. When they discovered space travel, the obligatory space race was held mostly "to speed up the rate at which out technology enhances. War may be no fun, but competition helps us survive." -probably the Coraeite president.

Only a few hundred years after discovering space, space discovered them. By that, I mean a Notail ship got stranded in the Coraeite star cluster. The advanced technology on the ship and the Notail suppression caused virtually all Coraite ships to disappear or become antique, and production stopped. Coraeites were taken advantage of, as the stranded Notail ship wasn't necessarily legal, and essentially locked in the colorless navigator's room. As such, the color-specific cones in Coraeite eyes were lost due to genetic drift, and they became colorblind.
Holy begeezuz, I haven't written that much since I had to write an essay with a paragraph length minimum!

Once again, this is not finished! As you can see several fields are incomplete! Also, these were created BEFORE Undertale and Sans came out, I SWEAR!

Change Log

I decided to just change this topic in to a changelog topic for the site, mainly for my own sake of keeping track of what I'm working on. If you by any chance see any bugs or whatever on the site feel free to tell me about it on this topic. Also feel free to suggest improvements or give me suggestions as to what you would like to see on the site. This will also be updated when the redux starts updating after I fix all of the major bugs I'm working on right now.

9-7-2016
- The Random Entries section in every dex entry now actually works and will show you random entries every time you reload the page or go to a new one.
- The random section in the main page, species page, fauna page, and AI section work, with the main random page drawing from all entries and the other ones drawing from only their respective pages.
- Only planets with actual info show up in the random section to prevent people from being taken to a blank page. As such there's only a pool of 3 planets currently.

- The navigation no longer shoves itself fist first in to the middle of dex pages if there's not enough info. (This was common in the homeworld sections.)

- Oomn have artwork.
- Kounini have artwork.
- Drakons have new artwork in the gallery.

- The trait submission section has been cleared with most being added. (Did not keep track of which traits were added, woops.)

- New fauna Magneto-Horzz added.
- New fauna Mormite added.
- New fauna Shambling Messes added.
- New fauna Space Bear added.
- New fauna Space Tuna added.

- New planet Moiresme added.
- Pacoficus now has a full entry unlike most homeworlds.

To Do List
- Put in the Husses artwork.
- Replace the filler text in the species and AI section.
- Put in art for the main dex page instead of it being 10 angry Artemis in a row.
- Change it so that clicking pictures takes you to that thing's dex page as well.

- Create an art-submissions section.

- Update the homepage with non filler.

- Block out the [Items and Upgrades] | [Gods and Worship] | [Timeline and History] | [Achievements] sections until they have something actually in them but filler.
- Create an application section for the [Items and Upgrades], and [Achievements] sections.

Known issues
- Looking at the site on a phone sucks.
- Looking at the site on a tablet sucks less than the phone version but still kind of sucks.
- The N-Z button in the AI dex is extremely useless.

- There's a lot of bugs in the redux system that I'm not going to bother listing as the redux isn't public yet.

I'm noticing some errors in my own creatures. Sorry!

4'44 is not a real measurement, should be 4'4(Tuna)
Neither is 10 FT ft(Space Bear)
Space tuna are skittish detrivores, not herbivores
Lastly, Space bears have a lifespan of 500 *years*.

It seems the entries for the Kounini, Oomn, and Oquintas still say "No art currently" in the infobox, even though there is, indeed, art.

@Almond: Yeah I like reusing this topic. I also wanted to figure out a way to basically tell people "Hey your apps were approved / denied" without having to pm people one by one.

@Fellow: That's no issue, I think every fauna app had an issue with it but I didn't have the time last night to go around fixing them. There's no submission guide at the moment so I don't expect people to know the correct way to submit every section.

Major updates

- A - M section in the AIdex has been changed to 1st Gens. N-Z has been changed to Other but has no info on it.
- There is now actual text in the species and AI section rather then filler.

- The Items, Gods, History, and Achievements sections have now been blocked off / have a mind our mess text.
- Updated the main dex page to have non Artemis art. Most of the art are currently placeholders, abit better ones then the ones before.
- Species, and main section have clickable images on their selection pages.


Minor updates

- Kounini, Oomn, and Oquintas now have art credits.
- tangledAlmond has been changed to TangledAlmond

- Magneto-Horzz had a few minor issues corrected. (Issues were mainly things like putting Horse instead of horse, and Magneto-Horzz instead of magneto-horzz.)

- Fixed a few tonal issues and other issues in the mormite entry. (Same with the Horzzs, species names are lower cased, ex: We say humans, instead of Humans. | Also edited the one section that had a You statement in it or spoke directly to the reader. Rule of thumb is to not speak to the reader. Ex: It shouldn't be "You should not eat a Mite", but instead "Eating mites is ill advised."

- The :) in the shambling messes entry was removed. :(

- Space bears had the requested edits made. (Also lower cased the species names where it was upper cased)
- Space Tuna have been edited. Same as the above.




Edit: Note I'm just going to keep editing my last post if no one else posts so I don't clog the topic. Also I updated my todo list on the first post so I also don't have to keep reposting that.

The title of the topic will be named Major if there's a major update, otherwise it will be called minor for little tweaks.

- Footer now only has one dummy link in it (The last one) the other two have been replaced with a link to patreon and the mediawarks. (technically both link are useless because the donate and forum links are right above them but better than what was there before)
- Fixed it so that fauna can now have spaces in their name in the navigation.

Major updates

- Every part of the Cosmosdex should now be mobile, tablet, and other device friendly! There's only a few sections that mess up and they're under the known issue section. If you see any issues other then the ones listed below on your mobile devices please tell me!

Minor updates

- Corrected an error in which AI pictures weren't clickable.
- Depending on the size of your screen extra info on the dex nav pages will disappear, this is intended.


Known bugs / Issues

- If you click a trait on a dex page (Such as Hermes) sometimes depending on what trait it is and where it is located (as well as what device your using) it will fly off and becomes mostly unviewable or hover over the wrong trait. This only happens on phones. Will likely be disabling trait tooltips for phones until I can repair that or figure out a better way to make tooltips.

- The mind our mess, placeholder pages do not work on phones.

- The trait randomizer area might spawn a long trait name, causing (yet again) phones to get an area of blank emptiness. Never mind fixed this. Turns out it was counting each section as one word.

Major updates

- Sweats, I didn't do anything for a month other then minor updates.

- The Homepage of the site is now both mobile and tablet friendly! I will be likely working my way to doing the same with the cosmosdex section soon!

- Almost all of the cosmosdex main sections (As in the overviews not the entries) are now responsive (mobile friendly) other then the very top section, which I will be fixing soon.

Minor updates

- Helios's Patron Powers has been corrected.
- FlamingXsexual has been fixed. (Before it was "This isn't your name Xsexual." instead of "This isn't your normal Xsexual."

Major updates

- I just went ahead and finished the whole Art submission section, not counting any areas that aren't finished on the Cosmosdex. You can now submit art for Fauna, AIs, Species, Planets, and Galleries as long as the rules posted are followed. I do need to place art examples, which I will do later.

Minor updates

- I accidentally deleted a list of what I did but it basically boils down to a few minor updates, mostly tiny grammar errors.
- Mormites' dislike of hauling stuff has been moved to their likes.
- Placed create a contact us page on the todo list.

I see you can now link to traits from the traitdex. When I tried it in the past it would just take me to the top of the traitdex rather than the specific trait in the url.

Oh it was always like that! If it didn't do it like that that means the trait you checked before is bugged, or it was a one off browser issue. (Sometime Sitename.com/Whatever/#Name doesn't always work, it's weird but it tends to be a one off issue.)

- Tegyps are approved, their temp home is over here. (Note they won't appear in the main dex until we hit the next planet like all other apps, but they've been moved to their "correct spot")

Edits done to tegyps
- Social Class has been replaced with a red or green apple depending on whatever the app feels like displaying.
- Changed Night Vales to Landmarks to keep the reference not too blunt.

- "You see the tegyp social system-" > "The tegyp social system-"

- After a back and forth Hadgi has been changed to Mandgi due to certain reasons.
- The Mandgi quote has been....thinned....

Crawlerz have been accepted temp home here. (Though I might change their main name to Crawlerz if that's ok with the side name of The Crawling one)

Class is requested social class, yeah!

Species that one joins in to instead of being born in to is fickled. After all I'm going to need to give clockworks their own section due to how much they don't fit in to the norms of species, even though they are their own species, abit one that piggy backs off others. They even have their own subspecies (Hydras, harpys, ect)

So basically I would like to request more detail on how one joins the species and how that's done before I can fully approve it. You can just drop a short paragraph here for me to review so you don't have to write the whole thing only for it to get rejected.
