Lmao so here's what we do know

Boy Student:
Girl Student: Key Person
Shrine Maiden: Serial Killer
Doctor:
Office Worker:
Police Officer: Conspiracy Theorist

Unknown: Which main plot we're working with. It's either Murder Plan (with unidentified Killer and Brain) or A Place To Protect (with unidentified Cultist).
The Office Worker had Goodwill Refusal. This means:

If we're lucky we're working with A Place To Protect (supported by Laser trying to place Intrigue on the school) and the Office Worker is the Cultist. All roles are id'd and we've won.

If we're unlucky, Laser played Intrigue on the School to make us believe it's the Place To Protect Plot; the Office Worker is one off the Killer or Brain, and either the Doctor or Boy Student is the other missing role.

Well... I'd say guessing it's A Place To Protect may be our best bet. If it's not, then we'd still be wrong, but either way we're running the same 1/5 chance either way.

It's.. really up to you both, though! I'm not exactly sure which to pick.

Ah fuck, my guess did not pay off.

My vote is that we go for Place to Protect; there's no real way of knowing which it is, and at least with that Plot we have a better chance of getting everything right.

A) I kept trying to move Girl Student into the City for some reason
and B) 1 Intrigue wasn't going to be enough to trigger the failure condition on the School, unless there was a Brain, which would be impossible under A Place To Protect.

I need to actually read the rules to this game but it was fun enough reading along the first game that I'll sign up for round 2.

The number of loops available actually said "3 or 4" and most of the scripts except like, two have an option like this. I'm thinking if I win a script, for the next one I'll give the more generous option, but if you win, the next one will be the harder option.

Signups list is cleared because it's been over a year so... feel free to claim whichever. App user starts as leader but it'll pass around a lot so don't be too worried about that

Excellent! I'll update the thread title and op when I get home but the starting setup is visible a few posts up-- Doctor and Patient in the Hospital, Shrine Maiden at the Shrine, Office Worker in the City, and Boy Student and Girl Student at the School. Three incidents, five days, three loops.
Obviously loop 1 plans are going on close to zero information but feel free to talk plans here before you dive out of the Time Spiral. Reecer will be the starting Leader.

oh boy i've thrusted you two immediately into this, hope that's fine!

immediately suspicious about the patient and their lack of ability to move. my bet is they're either a key person (so their lack of movement means they can be easily killed) or a brain (so they'll just increase intrigue in the hospital every turn and then we die). freeing that baby seems like a vital move.

That Hospital Incident looks like a real doozy, and my reflex is to try and block any intrigue heading that way. But that's obviously what the mastermind wants us to do. The only thing more dastardly than intrigue-triggering one location is intrigue-triggering two locations! Given the mastermind's natural tendencies towards diabolical impossible choices, (and also the other team playing through the non-location based plot coupled with a low chance of repeats) I suspect we're in either Light of the Avenger or A Place to Protect. If the Mastermind were especially tricky, the Brain in LotA would be in the school to prevent us from determining which plot we're running.

Known Loss triggers:
--Hospital reaches 2 Intrigue by D3 while the second culprit is paranoid
Potential Loss triggers:
--Brain's location reaches 2 Intrigue
--Key Person dies
--School reaches 2 Intrigue
--Friend dies

Confusion Points:
--If both Friend and Key Person die in the hospital we'll confirm the subplot but not the main plot
--RL gets one free Intrigue every loop without us being able to discern between LotA or An Unsettling Script
--If the Brain is Boy Student or Girl Student, School is priority zone, but plot is still unknown.

Important Notes:
--If we're doing LotA, the Brain most likely does not start in the Hospital as it'd be too easy for us to defend and the only other thing we'd need to do is stop the Friend from dying D5.
--Girl Student cannot be the culprit for Increasing Unease as her Paranoia Limit is impossible to reach in Day 1.
--Even though the Hospital Incident failstate is known, we should still consider provoking it so we can figure out who its culprit is. Keeping paranoia off of them frees up our intrigue blocking for the main plot.

This isn't a comprehensive summary of all my brainstorming but I feel it's enough to get the discussion rolling. Also if we wind up with another Killer or Serial Killer a lot of this needs reworking. We should probably come up with a system like the last group did for rotating Forbid Intrigue duty since if we ever overlap we fuck up.

I'm hoping to give this a proper look tomorrow but I feel like I can pretty much agree with Granola's logic. I think our first move is to more or less use what we know are potential issues to narrow down the scenario so I actually think we should dedicate at least a little bit of time to preventing issues in the hospital and force our enemy to reveal more of their hand.
